Dr. Ahmad Abazid, Xavier`s Associate Dean of Clinical Science, has built an impressive career in family medicine and academia. He served as Assistant Medical Director at Carolina Medical Lab before completing his residency in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he was Chief Resident. After relocating to New York in 2016, Dr. Abazid practiced as a hospitalist and urgent care physician, while also founding a geriatric fellowship at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. With leadership roles, including Chairman of Family Medicine at United Regional Health Care System, his career reflects a deep commitment to both patient care and education.
