About Me
Dr. Isha Mehta is a third-generation MD and the Chief of Gynecology at NYCHHC-Elmhurst. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Associate Professor at St. George University. In addition, she served as President of the Rotary Club of Jericho Sunrise from 2017-2018, where she and her all-women team raised funds for various charities in Long Island, U.S., and around the world. Dr. Mehta has been working with women in need ever since she commenced her study of medicine over 25 years ago. Her research and opinions on women’s health and medical practices have been published in peer-reviewed journals and medical texts. Dr. Isha Mehta is also a co-founder of A Stitch in Time, an organization creating clear-cut impacts on the lives of the women they treat and their families. Since its inception, A Stitch in Time has grown and the impact it has made on women’s lives, young and old, is immeasurable. Her team has helped more than 500 women all over the world to give them access to prolapse surgery and other health care services for them to return home happier and healthier.
