Xavier has meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu

Xavier University School of Medicine Aruba was represented by; Program Coordinator Dr. Maysaa Oğlu at a formal meeting with the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. During the meeting Dr. Oğlu and the Turkish foreign minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu discussed a number of topics relating to Xavier including the official approval process to be a campus within the rules and regulations of the Turkish government, the scientific and cultural openness with the European nations and how they can help boost scientific diversity within the medical research community and how Xavier can help to create more physicians in the area! Xavier University School of Medicine is honored to have this meeting with the Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, and look forward to maintaining a successful collaborative relationship.

Approval by New York State Education Department

Seal of the New York State Education DepartmentOn July 17th, 2020, the New York Board of Regents voted to approve Xavier University School of Medicine Aruba to place students in long-term clinical clerkship in New York State for 7 years. This is the longest term of approval that can be given to an International Medical School.

New York State Education Department approval allows:

• Xavier graduates to enter residency training in New York

• Xavier students to complete all 72 weeks of clinical training in New York teaching hospitals
