Tim Salm is an academic library director and systems librarian by training. After completing his M.L.I.S. degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Tim worked for Microsoft Corporation as a media researcher for the Interactive Media Group. For the last 20, he has served in a variety of professional positions in industry and higher education. Most recently, he served as the Director of the Pope Pius XII Library and Pharmacy Library at the University of Saint Joseph in Westford, CT. He joined Xavier University School of Medicine, Aruba in September of 2018 and his principal role is providing leadership in areas of library services, resources, and tools to faculty and students of the institution. His main research interests focus on the relationships between information literacy, instructional design and technology, critical thinking, problem solving, career preparedness, and lifelong learning.
